Job Description:

My client is an exciting medical communications agency, they are not just in front of the curve but are creating it with their innovative approach, develop and deliver engagements which resonate and provide immersive experiences, they keep healthcare audiences coming back for more!

The main role of an Account Manager is to ensure initiatives and programmes are implemented effectively and efficiently. They will work closely with senior members of the team to ensure projects are in line on budget and specification. You will add both strategic and tactical value to their accounts, whilst meeting and exceeding clients’ expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards, within budget and exceeding clients’ expectations

  • Taking accountability for client accounts and internal programmes, including building and maintaining optimum client relationships, and financial targets

  • Identifying potential challenges with programme delivery, consider possible solutions and work alongside senior management to deliver results

  • Develop documents to a standard that can be sent to clients with only minimal input from senior members of the account team

  • Oversee work from junior team members and provide constructive feedback

  • Run and participate in creative brainstorms

  • Attend international meetings to deliver projects on and behalf of clients

  • Proactive leadership of programmes

  • Actively work with all teams; writers, editorial, design, digital, meetings and events, to ensure optimal teamwork

  • Act as a coach and mentor to junior colleagues, creating a collaborative environment that encourages productive team relationships

  • Manage and take proactive steps to maximise client profitability through accurate budgeting and budget tracking

  • Provide support and input for proposal and pitch documents

  • Actively participate in new business pitch teams through all stages of the planning process

  • Proactively identify and grow opportunities for organic growth and new business with existing clients

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience within a medical communications agency

  • Demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm for work; prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ and work flexible hours when necessary
