Senior Software Developer

Our client is a highly successful international software company specialising in Media & Commercial Publishing systems. With offices in the UK, the USA, Brazil, Italy and Malaysia they are now seeking an experienced Software Developer to expand their UK operation located near Reading, Berkshire.

Experience required:

Educated to degree level in a subject related to Computer Science.

A minimum of four years commercial experience of programming with Java, JavaScript and Python producing polished commercial applications.

You will have extensive experience building and testing server-side Web applications in an agile environment.

Skills should include some of the following:

·Good understanding of object-orientated design and data structures

·Good understanding of algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis

·Proficiency in the following programming languages: Java, Javascript and Python

·Experience of frameworks such as Spring, EJB3 and Angular JS

·Relational and non-relational databases

·Experience with the Maven build tool (or similar like Ant or Gradle) and version with Git or subversion

·Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins and Selenium

·Experience in Lean and Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

·You will join an experienced programming team working on applications for Media and Commercial Publishing.

·Assist with design of new products and solutions and Implement new features for their current products

·Continue to further develop the Jenkins automated test environment

·Assist the support team to troubleshoot customer problems when necessary

·Any other appropriate duties as required in order to fulfil this role and to support the business in general

They are now seeking Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers on a shift basis for their manufacturing operation in Camberley.

Experience & Knowledge
•ONC/OND or HNC in a relevant engineering subject (or equivalent) or apprenticeship
•Competent in a high speed manufacturing environment Technical product knowledge
•Mechanical / electrical / electronic skills. Knowledge of PLCs.
•Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail)

Main duties

Responsible for the support and maintenance of High speed manufacturing equipment during the hours on site.
•Preventive maintenance – Following a standardised routine of preventative maintenance in accordance with agreed maintenance procedures
•Maintain site stock – Ensuring the site stock is replenished and where possible in fit condition for when required
•Maintain documentation – Completing any documentation necessary or as requested
